Who Is Jesus?

Jesus Christ is both divine and human. He came down from heaven to earth two thousand years ago to live a human life, experienced the same pains, sufferings and temptations that afflict all of us. He can empathise with all our struggles and problems here on earth. Yet, while on earth He did not sin, setting us an example for holy living.

Man became separated from God by sin but God so loved the world and did not want us to perish, so he sent us his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to save us. Jesus lived, died and rose again so that we might be delivered from sin and be reconciled to God and receive eternal life. When the blood of Jesus was shed on the cross at Calvary, He saved the whole world from sin. Jesus is therefore the Saviour of our souls. We can be made righteous before God when we confess our sins and receive Him into our hearts.

Jesus also came to heal us - physically, emotionally and spiritually. The Bible tells us that by those stripes that were inflicted upon Him at Calvary, all our sicknesses were healed. Spirit, soul and body.

But above all, Jesus Christ came to help us in our daily living. He is our Lord and Master. He knows what is best for us because He is also our Creator and the Provider of everything we have. He knows everything and is everywhere. He is our best leader and guide for our lives. Learn to rely on Him, for we cannot live our human lives by ourselves and by our own efforts.
